Brothers,
Together, members of K of C and St. Vincent DePaul distributed the Easter bags this past Saturday at Beaver Healthcare and Rehab. Many of the residents were excited and very grateful to receive the bags. Thanks to everyone that helped!

We delivered the requested 27 coats to the Hopewell School District this afternoon, as part of the annual Coats for Kids Program (see photo below). This was another successful joint Knights of Columbus/Saint Vincent DePaul effort.
In addition, Deacon Bob left another 10 coats in case other family members also need coats but didn't request them. They will return any to Deacon Bob so he may donate them elsewhere. Unfortunately, due to the request of the guidance counselor, she wanted to distribute the coats discretely to the families this year; apparently some were embarrassed to come to Fatima House with a group of us there in the past.
A special thank you to Marianne Davison and Kim Zanella that shopped for the coats and to our Community Director John Miklos who coordinated this for us. Unfortunately, GK Phil, Kim and John could not make it due to work commitments. God Bless.

We wrapped up our drive today with two trucks loaded with 17 full pallets which will be heading to NC for delivery on Tuesday. Thanks to all the members that worked the collection and the parishioners & others for their generous donations. Please see the phWhat a day! We started out setting up on a foggy 37-degree morning and ended up with sunshine and drop offs of many needed items as well as very generous monetary donations. Thanks to all the brother Knights and their wives as well as fellow Vincentians who made this drive possible. We look forward to seeing you again tomorrow at Our Lady of Fatima from 10:00A - 1:00P and hopefully the generosity continues to pour in. God bless.
Respectfully,
Brothers,
I want to thank all the Brother Knights and their families who participated and helped work at the Cornhole tournament! This year's event was a success because of your support.
The net proceeds are $4,229! We'll split the proceeds with Trinity Council. I'll have a detailed update at the October Council meeting.

Adoration Chapel Video Series: Your Organizations & Your Faith
Passing this message along to group leaders that they can share with their membership in the following groups: the Knights of Columbus (various chapters in MQS Parish), St. Vincent De Paul (various chapters in MQS) and the Christian Mothers. I don't have everyone's email, so I am asking for you to pass it on to the other chapters!
Fr. Canice and I are wondering if you would be willing to help us with a little parish project. One of his goals for the Parish is to encourage our parishioners to be true evangelists who are not afraid to share about their relationship with Jesus to others. We have already started making a series of little video testimonies where parishioners are sharing about different aspects of their faith. Now, we want to highlight your work with your various organizations in the Parish and how that work is bringing you closer to Christ. There would be four questions in the video:
1. Why did you become a member of the ______?
2. How do you serve God and the Church as a member of the ________?
3. How has your service as a ________ deepened your relationship with Christ?
4. What is your advice to someone who is considering becoming a member of ______?
We can record in duos or singles, but no more than two people per video, due to our equipment. Let me know any dates and times that are best for you to record! Sadly, I can't start recording until Thursday next week, at the earliest.
You may pass this email along, also my email address for those wanting to schedule!
I ask that you do not pass my personal cell phone number. You can pass along my office number: 724.775.6363 ext. 105.
Thank you!
Best,

New Roof on OLOF School Shed
The new roof is complete, clean up completed, old shingles & roofing taken to the dump, and two loads of gravel delivered and spread today (see attached photos). A big thank you to Tony DelTondo and his crew for the fantastic job they did. God bless.
Vivat Jesus!
It was great getting to spread Easter joy this morning to the 51 residents at Beaver Elder Care in Aliquippa!
A big thank you goes out to John Miklos (KofC Community Director) for organizing the visit and to Maddie Davidson, Marianne Davidson, Amy D'Eramo and Kim Zanella who put the bags together earlier in the week. Besides the bags, the students of OLOF School made cards for inside the bags and decorations for the residents' doors. These will certainly brighten up their rooms for Holy Week.
Thanks to the KofC/SVDP members and guests that helped with the distribution this morning (see attached group photo). From left to right, are Alina Hays, Jeremiah Jackson, Joe Zanella, Kim Zanella, Amy D'Eramo, Dan D'Eramo, Maddie Davidson, Marianne Davidson, Tony Valo and John Miklos.
The patients were grateful for our visit and generosity. God bless.
HAPPY EASTER!!!

CommuniCycle Worktables
Brothers,
Thank you to the three members from our council and the five members from Trinity Council that assembled the worktables at CommuniCycle in Monaca this past Saturday. Please see the attached photos.
In the group photo, are Mike Lucci (GK 5825), Dan D'Eramo, Anthony Cercone, Tony Valvo, Lee Montanari (President CommuniCycle), Dave Cercone, Ken Depenhart, Carl Stiefel, and John Miklos.
This was truly a team effort between our two councils with Trinity's Grand Knight Mike Lucci and his team precutting most of the wood ahead of time in his cabinet shop thus facilitating ease of assembly Saturday morning. Lowes in Monaca donated $156 worth of 2x4's and Mike used his suppliers to get discounts on the casters, etc. Like with the corn-hole tournament, we will split the total cost 50/50.
Lee would like all the tables painted black, to hide grease marks, so I will be assembling a team to paint shortly, once I coordinate some date(s) with Lee. Once painted, we will add a plaque to the front and back of each table stating donated by the Knights of Columbus, Mary Queen of Saints Parish. God bless.

Brothers,
I just returned from Beaver County Special Olympics Polar Plunge! Wow, what a day!
Attached are some photos of the Knights and some Worthy Officers from various councils and the chapter that worked the event, some humble member plungers (e.g. Jason) and then some not so humble member plungers (e.g. Steve) and some future plungers (e.g. Raymond) and a member's daughter (mine) that is not so good at egg toss but is good at raising money for Special Olympics via the New Horizons Team, besides being a plunger herself!
This is just one of the events our council supports for Special Olympics; please note we actually financially sponsored both members that plunged. Thanks for representing our council! Be on the lookout to come and help work the Special Olympics track and field event at Geneva College later this Spring. These events are always very moving. God bless!

Brothers,
Hope everyone is keeping warm and safe. I appreciate the responses I received to my previous request for us to schedule a KofC only repair session with CommuniCycle. However, due to the various response dates and times returned, I discussed with Lee Montanari and the best way to accommodate everyone unless we were to get a more interest, would be for any of our members to just show up and participate in their regularly scheduled sessions below.
• Monday 9:30 – 11:30
• Tuesday 9:30 – 11:30, and 1:00 – 4:00.
o Tuesday afternoon is a really good time with a lot of retired guys there.
• Wednesday 9:30 – 12:00
• Thursday 6:00 – 8:00 (please check with me first, since evening sessions are limited)
Please note they have finally moved into their new facility in the old Family Dollar store located at 1221 Pacific Ave, Monaca, PA 15061. It is much larger facility that you should stop by and tour.
That is a good lead-in to my second topic, which will be discussed in detail at our February council meeting. Lee asked if the Knights would be interested in procuring the materials and building 4 worktables for the new shop; they will be modelled after a sample currently on-loan to their shop. I have prepared a Bill of Materials which I will share at our council meeting. He said we could put a plaque on each table, highlighting the donation from the Knights of Columbus. Talk about getting visibility; there was an influx of people coming through the shop while I was there last week, from various organizations within Beaver County and surrounding areas. I have reached out to Mike Lucci, Grand Knight of Trinity Council to see if they would like to partner with us to split the estimated materials cost of $1,000. This would also negate the need for two conservative votes in monthly meetings for exceeding the $500 expense threshold put in place last July. If we vote to proceed, we will need to schedule a day to knock these out once the materials are procured in February. Please plan to attend the February council meeting for this important discussion and vote.

Brothers,
After this weekend we should all be acclimating to Western Pennsylvania winter weather, which is a great lead up to the Special Olympics Polar Plunge coming up on Saturday January 27. We have been asked to work the event. Please let me know if you will be able to volunteer a few hours as part of our Faith in Action that day. More details to follow. God bless and stay warm!

I was asked by Brother Knight and Beaver County Special Olympics Coach Mike Grubb if the MQS K of C Councils would be willing to volunteer onJan 27th for the local Polar Plunge. They can use volunteers in the morning for registration, during the plunge and afterwards cleaning up and dismantling.
I am awaiting the times specifically from Coach Mike. Meanwhile, if you would be so kind to present to your councils the request and see if we as a parish are able to contribute to the Knights of Columbus support of the Special Olympics and have some volunteers.
